Program Overview
Select Springfield is a sales and marketing program established to make
connections between the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) and local
people who are members of companies or organizations that hold meetings
and conventions. The CVB aims to attract conventions to choose
Springfield as their next convention host city.
How you can help
Simply tell us the name of your organization that hosts a
convention and, if you can, introduce us to the person who plans it.
That’s it! There’s no catch - we’ll do the rest! We’ll contact the
organization’s meeting planners and do what we do best… tell them about
the city and win them over to choose Springfield for their next event!
We do that by listening to what they need from a host city, hotel, and
convention facility, then connecting them with the best facility to meet
their needs.
What the CVB does and
how you can help
A city, though not a
tangible product, is marketed as any other product and the CVB is
Springfield’s lead marketing agent. The CVB staff represents local
hotels, attractions, and the city at trade shows and to meeting planner
clients. The bureau also helps with practical event planning and
provides a variety of services to groups meeting in Springfield. |
